This tree has a unique look to it because of its "cork-like" bark. It grows thickly and rugged to give it a very rough aged appearance. Its trunk flute forms into an interesting shape. Even though its a strong grower during the warmer seasons, please protect it from frost as its sensitive to cold climates.
