Why is there a charge on my card?

If you've seen a charge on your card that led you to this webpage, it is more than likely because you submitted an order for our bonsai-related products and services.


Who is houseofbonsai.com?

House of Bonsai is a small family-owned business dedicated to offering a one-stop shopping experience for all things related to bonsai at our 5.3-acre physical store. We're based in Lakewood, California, United States of America, and have been in business for over 30 years since 1990. We have a digital store through our direct website (houseofbonsai.com) and our eBay store (https://www.ebay.com/usr/houseofbonsai). 


Why are you charging us?

This is a charge for bonsai items such as live trees (for example, pre-bonsai, gift-ready bonsai, specimen bonsai, etc.), pots, tools, soil, wire, fertilizer, pest & disease control, etc. It could also be for Japanese Garden Landscaping-related items such as natural stone decorations (for example, stone lanterns, water basins, stone bridges, etc.), garden edge dividers, or other products.


Does it not ring a bell?

If the product names don't ring a bell, your significant other, family or household member, or business partner may have placed an order with us. We've found that 95% of the time, confusion arises from someone else close to you placing an order to be received by your hands.


Can we get an invoice or receipt for the charge?

Every time we receive an order, an order confirmation is sent to the email address you (or someone close to you) provided when you/they placed the order. We can always send you one if you need a new copy of the invoice or receipt. Simply email us at houseofbonsai@gmail.com so we can do it for you.


Can we get a refund?

Typically, all sales are final, both in person and online. However, if it's a true fraud concern and no merchandise has been shipped, we can gladly cancel the order on your behalf and try to block future attempts using the same information from our direct website store and eBay store. Chargebacks are not permitted once you agree to place an order or purchase because you understand the nature of the bonsai products and services provided during any order or purchase with House of Bonsai. As bonsai professionals, much work goes on behind the scenes before the final products or services are completed and delivered to our customers.
