This is a popular material for typical flowering bonsai. Gardenias are well known to have a very exquisite sweet fragrance when they have flowers. Their scent is widely used in perfumes. This miniature gardenia is a visual knockout too!

'Radicans' is one of the most beloved dwarf gardenia cultivars. They have soft and shiny thin leaves that don't do well in strong sun so it will need to be protected with shade. In hotter climates, they can tolerate some sun during the early morning and get afternoon shade. In cooler climates, they can tolerate up to full sun so long as its roots are covered in moist soil.

They will also need to be in acidic high drainage soil to produce its beautiful blooms around late spring to early summer every year. The double petal flowers will have a pure white color that grow to about 1 inch across; very small size. It naturally likes to grow into a bushy shape.

Depending on the individual tree, it may have either a single or multi trunk.
