This primitive looking pot model is made by the Japanese pottery masters from Hanabusa. Its rustic Nanban style pot is made to appear more handmade & irregular versus your typical polished looking bonsai pot. For those that like a more "wild," "natural," or "raw" feeling, this unique style is for you! No two Nanban bonsai pots are identical; each will be their own exclusive individual!
This particular extra small pot model is quite the interesting one with its semi-glazed metallic tinted appearance! It has the qualities of both an unglazed pot where you're able to see most of its raw clay taupe brown color after it has come out of the kiln. But it also has some qualities of a glazed pot where you're able to notice some tinted metallic patches along the sides of the pot. This pot is for those that enjoy the unexpected surprises in life! It also has higher side walls that curve a bit like a crescent moon shape to give it a more unique presentation.
All of our ceramic bonsai pots are great classical choices to contain your bonsai in. They're made from long-lasting well-fired clay that can easily be reused again and again for many years. With its heavier weight, it gives any tree a more solid "put together" appearance when displaying.
