Amongst the Japanese Black Pine family, the 'Mikawa' species is a favorite to the bonsai lover. It has soft needles and aged looking bark. This particular tree is already trained and wired to have good branch structure to be used as a starter to a small scale bonsai specimen. It will come in a 1 gallon plastic nursery liner pot.
For this small size of Japanese Black Pine, we've taken the time to start its training by curving its trunk and decandling to give you a good foundation to begin enjoying bonsai from a small size. The size range of this bonsai tree fits within the Shohin size (roughly 5 - 8 inches in height).
Note that all pre-bonsai trees will come in a plastic nursery growing pot.
