The Taiwanese Ficus (also known as Tiger Bark/Tiger Stripe Ficus or Golden Gate Ficus) is a versatile choice that can be grown in almost any lighting condition! It can tolerate full sun to half shade, which makes it a great choice to keep either indoors or outdoors with ease. With its beautiful small and light colored "tiger striped" marks on its gray colored bark against waxy green pointed leaves, it's a pleasant choice for home or office. It prefers a warm humid environment as it's a more sub-tropical variety of evergreen trees. Like most other ficus variants, it produced inverted flowers that hang down rather than facing up like with most traditional flowers on a tree. 

They are fast growers and a hardy species when it comes to new lovers and beginners to bonsai. If you happen to forget to water it for a day or two or use too much water in a watering session, it will still be strong for you and survive most novice-based stresses. The only thing to keep watch over are to avoid having them out in cold nights and/or chilly climates so please bring your Taiwanese Ficus inside if you keep it in a warm spot outside.
